Seeds Come Seeds Go
Seeds Come Seeds Go
My work revolves around nature, imagination, and the cycles of life. I am fascinated by the relationship between people and their environments in everyday life. I strive to observe the world with a keen eye and transform these subtle impressions into visual stories.
This 32-page picture book is a tribute to the beauty of nature. The story begins with seeds falling onto the rabbits' heads and ends with new sprouts breaking through the soil. I hope readers will follow the rabbits’ gaze to experience the wonders of nature’s transformations, from caterpillars turning into butterflies among the flowers, tadpoles becoming frogs in the pond, and birds soaring into the sky. In the end, the rabbits cross paths while digging down deep into the earth– returning to the origins of the seeds.
I wove two distinct narrative threads into the book to showcase two contrasting personalities. The gray rabbit wanders wherever curiosity leads and is always drawn to new discoveries, while the brown rabbit remains focused on finding the lost seeds. This is not just a story about two rabbits, but a metaphor for the different ways we explore the world. Some people linger on the scenery along the way, while others stick to a set goal. However, as long as we keep exploring, we will eventually meet in unexpected places.
In my process, I prefer combining the tactile quality of traditional materials with the flexibility of digital methods. I aim to preserve a sense of delicate warmth in my imagery.
My artistic practice is deeply rooted in my love for gardening. Tending to my plants is more than a hobby; it is an endless source of inspiration. Watching them grow has given me a deeper understanding of life and beauty. Through this work, I hope to invite readers, in a gentle and poetic way, to slow down and discover the wondrous moments of life that are often overlooked in our busy days.
